General Biography 
Drew is a shareholder in the firm and maintains a civil litigation practice with an emphasis on defending construction, premises liability, products liability, business torts and class-action litigation. He has tried to verdict over one hundred civil cases in both state and federal court, argued before the South Carolina Court of Appeals, and has an active Alternative Dispute Resolution practice.  In construction related matters, Drew serves as statewide counsel for a large construction product manufacturer, and also represents general and subcontractors in construction defect litigation.   In premises liability matters, Drew is statewide counsel for a retail grocery chain and a national food service distributor. He has recently defended a restaurant involved in the largest Salmonella outbreak in South Carolina history.

As Program Chair for the ABA Section of Litigation Construction Section, Drew is a frequent speaker on a wide variety of construction related topics. Recently, Drew put together and conducted a seminar in Washington, D.C. entitled “Nuts and Bolts – Constructing and Deconstructing Expert Testimony” and he also spoke on “Effective Jury Charges in Complex Construction Litigation” at the ABA Forum for the Construction Industry meeting in San Diego, California.

Drew joined Turner Padget in May 1998, with five years' experience in the practice of defense litigation. Prior to private practice he served as law clerk to the Honorable M. Duane Shuler, Circuit Court Judge, from 1992 to 1993. While in law school, he was the University of South Carolina and Southeast Regional Champion of the National Trial Competition. Drew was graduated from Clemson University in 1989 with a B.S. in Financial Management. While at Clemson, he was honored with induction into Tiger Brotherhood and Blue Key National Honor Society.

In addition to practicing law, Drew is also very active in the community. He is currently serving on the Board of Harvest Hope Food Bank and is a member of its Finance and Development Committees. Additionally, he is a current member of the Leadership Columbia, Class of 2010.
