General Biography
Wayne
has an active commercial and business torts litigation
practice. His commercial litigation practice has evolved
from a tax and transactional practice early in his career.
During the past 20 years, Wayne has been responsible for the
trial of various business and commercial cases ranging from
accounting malpractice to business defamation and commercial
civil conspiracy. His practice is primarily concentrated in
the trial of complex commercial matters. Wayne is an active
member of the ABA Section of Litigation. He is a past
co-chair of the Business Torts Committee and past
co-director of Division IV (Procedural Committees) and
Division I (Administration) of the Section of Litigation.
Currently Wayne serves as co-director of Division V
(Substantive Litigation Committees).
Wayne received his B.A. degree in accounting from the
University of Georgia in 1969 and also received a masters of
accountancy degree from the University of Georgia in 1971.
He is a member of Beta Alpha Psi Accounting Honor Society.
Wayne received his Juris Doctor from the University of South
Carolina School of Law, cum laude, in 1975. Wayne presently
serves on the firm’s Executive Committee.
