General Biography
David is a resident in the Charleston office. He is a 1990 magna cum laude graduate of Furman University and a 1993 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. At Furman, he was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and received a B.A. degree in Political Science. He also was a member of Furman’s 1988 NCAA I-AA National Champion football team.

At USC Law School, he was a member of The Order of Wig and Robe and a member of the student editorial board for the A.B.A. Real Property and Trust Journal. He received the American Jurisprudence Award in Property. He is a member of the Charleston County, South Carolina and American Bar Associations.

David’s practice has focused on litigation, including significant experience with construction matters, complex business litigation and homeowner associations claims. In addition, he has handled admiralty claims and a variety of commercial real estate and business transactions. David has significant experience with jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts, appellate work, binding and non-binding arbitration and mediation, and pre-trial practice. He also represents various clients before the South Carolina Administrative Law Judge Division.
