Ms. Myers has helped to build companies (including “greenfield and “brownfield” builds) from the ground up, as internal and external counsel, building from $0 annual revenue to over $100m.
She has represented the world’s largest retailer on matters as diverse as the realty aspects of opening new stores, including negotiating zoning changes, to resolving multi-million dollar tort claims. A skilled transactional attorney, Myers also has negotiated and drafted over 30 international telecommunications interconnection agreements; assisted in conducting and completing all regulatory and legal due diligence for more than 30 corporate mergers, valued between $30m and $220m each. Simply stated, Ms. Myers understands business.
As a newly elected member of Richland County Council, Councilwoman Myers has added a unique understanding of the power of economic incentives to fund local growth and development to her corporate experience. As a public official, Myers helps set policy for Richland County and direct its annual budget of approximately $1.2b, and its “Penny Tax Project”, with a twenty year budget of $1.3b.
