Ashley S. Heslop

Ashley Heslop has practiced in the area of professional liability defense since beginning her law career in 2003. She has litigated all types of professional liability matters, including the defense of attorneys, engineers, hospitals, nurses, physicians, chiropractors, dentists, ophthalmologists, optometrists, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, residential care facilities, and certified registered nurse anesthetists, among others. Ashley has also expanded her practice to include premises liability cases, and trucking and transportation matters.

The most enjoyable aspect of Ashley’s practice is meeting new clients and helping them understand the complicated process of litigation. Clients often do not know what to expect when beginning litigation, and Ashley enjoys walking them through the steps of the case. She particularly values getting to know her clients individually and understanding their perspectives as they approach litigation.

Ashley was born in Charleston, S.C., but grew up in Athens, Ga., where being a Georgia Bulldog fan is a requirement. She began her practice in Turner Padget’s Columbia office, and relocated to Charleston in 2006. She is a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and is active with the Presbyterian Women at her church.
