Charles (Chuck) F. Turner, Jr.
Chuck Turner began his legal career practicing civil litigation in South Carolina in 1992. During his first years of practice, he honed his litigation skills by defending clients against personal injury, construction, governmental liability/civil rights, professional and product liability cases in Florence, S.C. as well as in Greenville, S.C. Early in his career, Chuck tried a high volume of cases in courts of all jurisdictions. Today, as an experienced trial lawyer representing large corporations, small businesses and individuals, Chuck approaches each case with an understanding of the complexity surrounding litigation from both a plaintiff and defense perspective. He works closely with clients to determine their needs, objectives and the most effective way to resolve a case, by trial if necessary. Whether defending or prosecuting cases, Chuck believes in a proactive, aggressive approach to litigation in order to achieve the best results for his clients.
The majority of Chuck’s practice consists of assisting clients involved in litigation related to personal injury, construction liability, products liability, professional liability and civil rights/governmental liability. His familiarity with local laws and venues, combined with his experience in representing clients who have been named parties to lawsuits pending in state and federal courts throughout South Carolina, enables him to counsel his clients on the best way to handle each case. Chuck prides himself on providing effective and responsive representation to his clients, whether a plaintiff in a complex commercial dispute or a defendant in a personal injury case.
Chuck’s biggest strength is the experience he has garnered from the diverse nature of cases and matters he has handled over his career, as well as the number of cases he has tried in all jurisdictions across the state. He has handled personal injury and complex business cases as counsel for individuals, small businesses and large corporations. He has also defended complex business matters, professional liability, governmental liability cases for individuals, corporations, insurers, and governmental entities and agencies. Many of these cases have been tried to a verdict: Chuck has gone to trial on almost 100 cases. Having the experience of ultimately resolving cases by trial enables Chuck to provide his clients valuable expertise in evaluating and handling potential and actual litigated matters.
A native of Greenville, Chuck is especially familiar with the Upstate region of South Carolina. His family ties to the area span over 200 years. As a former varsity two-sport athlete, Chuck is an active Wofford College alum and fan. He enjoys spending time with his family, as well as hunting, fishing and playing golf in his free time.
