J. Kenneth Carter, Jr.
Ken Carter oversees Turner Padget’s Product Liability and Construction Law teams. He has practiced law in South Carolina with Turner Padget since 1989, concentrating on complex litigation and trial work on a statewide and regional basis. He serves as state and regional counsel for automotive and other product manufacturers, defending the most severe, high exposure cases in both state and federal courts.
Ken serves as state counsel for one of the “Big Three” domestic automobile manufacturers. He oversees the company’s product liability litigation in South Carolina. Ken represents automobile manufacturers in the state and throughout the Southeast in all types of product-related lawsuits. He also represents boat, ATV and construction product manufacturers.Ken has represented plaintiffs and defendants in all aspects of construction-related litigation, from insurance-based casualty losses to construction contract disputes.
A lifelong resident of South Carolina, Ken has three children and enjoys coaching youth sports.
