J. Kenneth Carter, Jr.
Ken Carter manages sections of the Firm’s Turner Padget’s Product Liability, Construction Defect and Trucking & Transportation Practice Groups. He has practiced law in South Carolina with Turner Padget since 1989, concentrating on complex litigation and trial work on a statewide and regional basis. He serves as state and regional counsel for automotive manufacturers, trucking & transportation companies, construction & building product manufacturers as well as a number of other product manufacturers and medical device companies defending the most severe, high exposure cases in both state and federal courts.
Ken has represented plaintiffs and defendants in all aspects of construction-related litigation, including complex construction product suits and contract dispute. Ken serves as counsel for one of the “Big Three” domestic automobile manufacturers, overseeing the company’s product liability litigation in South Carolina. He represents product manufacturers in the state and throughout the Southeast in all types of product-related lawsuits as well as defending Trucking & Transportation companies throughout the state as well.
A lifelong resident of South Carolina, Ken has three children and enjoys coaching youth sports.
