John K. Blincow, Jr.
John Blincow is an experienced trial lawyer who regularly defends physicians, nursing homes, a wide range of health care providers and other professionals in malpractice litigation. John is listed in Best Lawyers in America and South Carolina Super Lawyers in the area of medical malpractice. He currently serves as chair of the IADC’s Medical Defense and Health Law Committee. He also represents product manufacturers and suppliers throughout South Carolina.
John represents both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of litigation matters. He is routinely involved in cases involving catastrophic injuries and claims of punitive exposure. John is experienced in class actions, consolidated trials, and other complex litigation. John currently serves as coordinating counsel in South Carolina for a national restaurant chain. In addition to trying cases throughout the state, he has also served as lead trial counsel in trials in other states, including Georgia and Florida. John began his career prosecuting criminal cases as an assistant district attorney, and has practiced law in South Carolina for over 25 years.
John has served on the Vestry of St. Philips Episcopal Church in Charleston, S.C., and is currently a member of the Board of Visitors of the Kanuga Conference Center in Hendersonville, N.C. He and his family recently participated in a mission trip to Tegucigalpa Honduras. He enjoys fly-fishing and golf, and competes with family and friends in various road races and a three-mile open water swim each spring.
