Joshua D. Shaw

Josh Shaw focuses his practice on complex construction, environmental, and product liability litigation. From national product manufacturers to local environmental testing companies, Josh’s diverse practice is characterized by a common theme: practical and efficient resolution of complex conflicts. Josh has carried the successful track record he began in law school into the arena of complex litigation. He has represented clients in class action lawsuits and disputes involving multiple parties and nuanced legal issues. In construction and environmental litigation, Josh has defended product manufacturers, general contractors, subcontractors and engineering firms. He has also assisted insurance company clients in coverage disputes concerning commercial general liability policies and other business disputes. He is experienced in negotiating the discovery maze and in devising creative and cost-effective solutions in litigation. 

For nearly a decade, Josh has been active in community affairs in Columbia, S.C. He is an officer on his church’s governing board and serves on the advisory board of the Silver Crescent Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the vitality of South Carolina’s manufacturing industry and educating young people about career opportunities in manufacturing. These experiences have given Josh a deep understanding of his community, which he draws upon daily in his practice of law.
