Britton Mason Hawk
Britton Mason Hawk joined Turner Padget as a law clerk in 2005 and remained on as an attorney after being admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2007. She has a diverse practice defending various types of claims including bad faith, professional negligence, personal injury, premises liability, and insurance coverage disputes. Her familiarity with local laws and the jurisdictions in which her clients’ disputes are located, combined with her understanding of the intricacies involved in each case, enable her to vigorously and effectively defend cases. Britton understands that being involved in litigation is often an unpleasant experience and works closely with clients to guide them through the process.
Britton grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina and attended both Carolinas, UNC and USC, before landing happily in Charleston. Britton is involved in the local community. She serves on the board of the Charleston Animal Society, an organization committed to helping animals through adoptions, rescue, aggressive spay and neuter, humane education and fundraising. She is also a graduate of Leadership Charleston, a program focused on exploring the particular needs, trends, strengths and weakness of the Charleston area to foster a greater knowledge of the local community in the next generation of local leaders. In addition, she is involved in the American Bar Association, presently serving as the 4th Circuit reporter for the business torts committee.
