Mark B. Goddard
Mark Goddard’s practice focuses primarily on defending personal injury, property damage and premises liability cases. Mark has also handled matters involving wrongful death, minor settlements, municipal law, and automotive and commercial insurance coverage questions.
Mark is involved in every aspect of civil lawsuits. He typically handles a file from the beginning, develops a strategy for discovery, and ultimately, a plan for the trial. Mark has significant experience with complex issues involving liability, proximate cause, questionable damages and complex medical issues. He has developed tools to pinpoint the most important aspects of his cases and focuses on developing these issues to properly portray them to a jury. Mark has taken over 25 cases to verdict in various venues throughout South Carolina. He has also successfully mediated numerous cases. He strives to effectively and efficiently represent his clients to ensure that their goals are not only met, but also exceeded.
Mark grew up in Clover, S.C., but decided to stay in Columbia after attending the University of South Carolina. When away from the office, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and child and playing golf, basketball and softball. Mark is also an avid South Carolina Gamecock fan.
