Michael G. Roberts

Mike Roberts focuses his practice in the areas of federal and state taxation, estate planning, business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate and health care law.

He represents numerous businesses and their owners, advising them on matters such as dispositions or acquisitions of businesses, employee benefits and Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) matters, and business succession planning and reorganizations. Mike also represents many physicians and medical groups in South Carolina, assisting such clients with contracting matters, group entity formations, joint ventures and practice governance.

“The aspect I enjoy most about my practice is that I play the role of ‘family counselor’ for many of my clients. When working with estate planning clients, as well as those involved in family business succession planning, my skills as a lawyer, referee and advisor combine to help my clients achieve their goals.”
