Michael S. Hopewell

Mike Hopewell has practiced with Turner Padget since 1992 and has a background in civil defense litigation in both state and federal courts. Currently, he focuses the majority of his time on his commercial collections practice, assisting both South Carolina and out-of-state clients with commercial collection matters. He has extensive experience with mechanic’s liens, bond claims and commercial foreclosure matters, as well as breach of contract matters. He has assisted many clients with the domestication of foreign judgments in South Carolina.

Mike is a certified arbitrator. He has also been appointed by the court to serve as special master for the purposes of conducting supplementary proceedings and non-jury trials. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee.

“For me, the satisfaction in what we do comes from helping clients recover what is justly due them; and doing that in a way that is orderly, efficient and respectful of all participants in the process.”
