Sarah G. J. Verstraten
Sarah G. J. Verstraten is a member of the Workers' Compensation team in our Charleston office having spent the past few years developing her skills for trial on the litigation team at Turner Padget. Sarah's litigation experience includes defending personal injury and construction defect claims for a variety of clients ranging from small business owners to national corporations, and she developed a strong foundation in the area of Workers' Compensation while clerking with various South Carolina law firms during law school. Prior to attending law school, Sarah was commissioned as a lieutenant, serving as a personnel officer in the U.S. Air Force where she directed and administered a variety of human resources programs for the 3,000 plus personnel stationed at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware. She also worked in recruitment for the Air Force Recruiting Squadron Headquarters for the North-East located in Pennsylvania and is excited about bringing her HR experience to the Workers' Compensation team in Charleston. During her military service, Sarah was awarded the Air Force Commendation and Achievement Medals, and was named Dover AFB Personnel Manager of the Year and Mission Support Squadron Company Grade Officer of the Year.
