Edward is an attorney with the firm's insurance litigation and professional liability practice groups. Meticulous and detail-oriented, he takes a disciplined and pragmatic approach to providing for client needs. Edward's diverse background provides a solid foundation for his practice. Between his first and second year of law school, he earned a commission in the United States Marine Corps after attending Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia. Edward remained in the reserve component while completing his degree, and spent one summer on active duty as a Student Judge Advocate aboard Marine Corps Air Station Beaufort, South Carolina. Also during law school, he interned as a clerk with the South Carolina House of Representatives Labor, Commerce, and Industry Committee.
Upon graduation from law school, Edward worked for a general practice law firm in the Pee Dee region and served as a judicial clerk for The Honorable Paul M. Burch, a Resident Circuit Court Judge for South Carolina's Fourth Judicial Circuit. He then completed four years of active duty military service, serving with 2d Reconnaissance Battalion, 2d Marine Division aboard Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. These experiences exposed Edward to a broad array of legal issues and unique challenges, honed his problem-solving skills, and provided him with the perspective and ability to represent his clients effectively.
A native of Chesterfield and a fourth generation South Carolina lawyer, Edward resides in Florence with his wife and son. He continues to serve as a Captain and Civil Affairs Team Leader in the Marine Corps Reserve. In his free time he enjoys playing sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with his family.
