General Biography
Ellen Goodwin is a resident in the Columbia office.  Ellen is a South Carolina native, and she was a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the Honors College at the University of South Carolina.  In 1990, she graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and then served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Jean H. Toal and Supreme Court Staff Attorney until 1993.   Ellen gained extensive experience in the area of workers' compensation as General Counsel to the South Carolina Second Injury Fund from 1993-1996.  In 1996, she was admitted to the Tennessee Bar and served as a Capital Case Attorney there until returning to South Carolina and the practice of workers' compensation in June 2000.
