James H. “Jamey” Goldin represents clients in regulatory, administrative, and government relations matters while also maintaining an active litigation practice. Jamey provides counsel to insurance, energy, utility, and local government clients. He represents clients before the South Carolina Supreme Court, other levels of state and federal trial and appellate courts, the South Carolina Department of Insurance, the South Carolina Public Service Commission, and as a registered lobbyist before the South Carolina General Assembly.
Following law school, Jamey served the South Carolina House of Representatives as Chief Counsel (2014-2017) and Assistant Staff Counsel (2011-2014) to the Labor, Commerce and Industry Committee, as Committee Counsel to the South Carolina Public Utilities Review Committee, as a screening attorney for the Judicial Merit Selection Commission, and as an attorney to the Review and Oversight Commission on the South Carolina Ports Authority.
Jamey lives in Columbia with his wife, Julie, and their daughter, Taylor. He is passionate about the outdoors and tries to spend as much time as he can afield.
