General Biography 
Lanny is the managing shareholder of Turner Padget.  He is located in the Columbia office and directs the firm’s business transactions practice.  He advises lenders, developers, investors, buyers and sellers with regard to financing, leasing, land development, construction, zoning and regulatory matters, real estate title insurance, and all aspects of structuring commercial loans and business transactions. He also focuses on the formation of business entities, business mergers and acquisitions and business counseling.  Lanny joined the firm in 1986, after serving as in-house counsel with a real estate development and mortgage banking company.  Lanny is a former law clerk to the late South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Dan F. Laney, Jr.

Lanny has more than twenty years experience in lender counsel representation in complex real estate and asset-based financing and in all aspects of commercial real estate development, leasing and financing.  His experience also includes more than 15 years of handling claims for a national title insurance company.
