Nickisha Woodward is a litigation attorney whose practice is focused in the areas of personal injury claims, premises liability and construction defect matters. Prior to practice, Nickisha worked as an associate accountant for a Fortune 500 Company, which has enabled her to use her business acumen while representing the interests of individuals, businesses and insurance carriers.
Nickisha received her Bachelor’s degree from Clemson University. While at Clemson, she competed nationally on the Forensic Speech and Debate team and was the recipient of the Clemson University Trustee’s Medal. Nickisha attended the Charleston School of Law, where she graduated in 2013. While at Charleston Law, she became a member of the James L. Petigru Inns of Court and was one of five members inducted into the Forensics Club. She has also served as a federal extern to U.S. District Judge Richard M. Gergel.
Nickisha has tried numerous cases to verdict as the lead attorney in state court throughout South Carolina. Nickisha has represented trucking companies, general contractors, subcontractors and product manufacturers in product liability claims. Further, Nickisha has successfully defended automobile accident, premises liability and other negligence lawsuits. Additionally, she has experience with insurance coverage issues and declaratory actions for personal injury claims.
Nickisha has served as a subcommittee member of the Judicial Selection Committee since 2015, aiding in the selection of state court circuit, appellate and Supreme Court judges and justices. Recently, she completed a six month Leadership course through the South Carolina Bar and now serves as a committee member for future Leadership Academy attendees. Additionally, Nickisha is an active participant in the South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyers Division and works with the Street Law Program introducing teenagers to the law and legal practice.
Nickisha is an avid runner and sports fanatic. She believes that the perfect combination of hard work, preparation and good advocacy skills aid her in providing the best outcome for her clients.
