General Biography
Since joining the firm in 1981, Steve has been engaged primarily in defending product manufacturers, corporate directors and officers, construction professionals, and insurance companies in litigation involving construction defects, products liability, environmental contamination, toxic chemical exposure and insurance coverage issues. He has extensive experience in the defense of individual cases as well as mass tort class actions and multi-district litigation of local, regional and national scope. He has defended clients in such litigation in trial and appellate courts throughout South Carolina and in other jurisdictions.
During law school, he served on the editorial board of the Law Review and was inducted into the Society of Wig and Robe and the Order of the Coif in recognition of his academic achievements.
