General Biography 
G. Troy Thames graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1993, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the U. S. Army, Field Artillery, where he served on active duty until 1998. After leaving active duty, he received his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law in December of 2000, and continues to serve in the military as a Major in the U. S. Army Reserves, Judge Advocate General Corps. Troy's practice concentrates in the areas of general civil litigation, with an emphasis on insurance and maritime law. He is also experienced with construction litigation and trucking and transportation litigation.
