Support Staff

The firm has enthusiastically embraced the concept of using paralegals as attorney assistants in a number of different applications. Our litigation teams employ a number of talented paralegals who assist in the preparation of complex cases. Applicants for paralegal positions must generally have an undergraduate degree and be a graduate from an accredited paralegal school. Extensive experience as a paralegal may substitute for a four-year degree.


The secretarial and administrative staff is the backbone of the firm. Support Staff Opportunities

We are currently seeking an experienced Insurance Defense Litigation Paralegal for our Myrtle Beach office. Responsibilities include:

  • Document management and analysis.
  • Preparation and service of subpoenas and other discovery requests.
  • Statewide roster/docket monitoring.
  • Electronic filings/ECF with Federal Court.
  • Client management and communication.

Candidates should have the following skills and/or attributes:

  • Three to five years of Litigation experience is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of the litigation process.
  • Paralegal Certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc…)
  • Professional demeanor, excellent communication and computer skills and the ability to manage a large caseload in a fast-paced environment.

 

We are currently seeking a highly motivated self-starter as a Mailroom Assistant in our Charleston office. Hours are 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday. Responsibilities include:

  • Distributing mail
  • Copying and scanning documents
  • Providing backup support to the receptionist
  • Setting up conference rooms
  • Handling closed files
  • Running business related errands

At least 1 year of experience in support services, office administration or a related position is preferred. Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys and staff are necessary. Candidates must be capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting deadlines. Candidates must have the ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds on a continual basis.

A high school diploma and a valid driver’s license are required. Reliable transportation is required.
