Turner Padget Adds Three New Attorneys and Continues Firmwide Growth Efforts

Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. announces the addition of three attorneys. Jennifer N. Stone joins as of counsel in the firm's Business Transactions practice and is based in Columbia. Alexander S. Hogsette and Richard A. Jones III join as associates in the firm's Insurance Litigation practice, with Hogsette based in Florence and Jones in Columbia. These additions bring the total number of new attorneys added in 2016 by Turner Padget to nine lawyers.

Jennifer N. Stone

Stone joins Turner Padget from Callison Tighe & Robinson, where she had practiced since beginning her legal career there as a law clerk in 2002. She counsels businesses of all sizes on a range of transactional matters, from multi-million dollar commercial acquisitions to contractual disputes. She is experienced with real estate and construction financing, asset-based lending and complex real estate mortgage investment conduit loans intended for securitization. She has represented businesses in formation and restructuring, including conversion to bankruptcy remote, special purpose entities.

She earned her undergraduate degree from Erskine College and her law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Alexander "Alec" S. Hogsette

Hogsette joins Turner Padget from Willcox, Buyck & Williams. His diverse practice has included civil litigation, federal regulation, personal injury, real estate, professional liability, contractual disputes and appellate law.

Hogsette is a member of the American Bar Association, the South Carolina Bar Association and the Florence Bar Association. He is also an active leader in the South Carolina Young Lawyers Division and serves as a South Carolina Bar Foundation Ambassador.

Hogsette earned his undergraduate degree from the University of the South at Sewanee and his law degree from the Charleston School of Law.

Richard A. "Trey" Jones III

Jones joins Turner Padget from Richardson Plowden, where he focused his practice on medical malpractice defense.

Jones is actively involved in a number of pro bono projects, and is a member of the Columbia Museum of Art Contemporaries and the Columbia Tarantella Club.

Jones earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina.
