Posted On Mar 10, 2017

Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. announces the addition of Robyn W. Madden as a Columbia-based of counsel attorney in the firm's Employment and Professional Liability Practice.

“Robyn is an experienced and talented attorney, and we are pleased to add her to our growing Employment team,” said R. Wayne Byrd, chief executive officer of Turner Padget. “The clients we represent seek quality, value-driven legal counsel in South Carolina, and her addition strengthens our ability to respond promptly and strategically to those legal needs.”

Robyn currently represents individuals in professional license defense matters pending before the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation. Robyn defends individuals accused of wrongdoing under their practice act from investigation through final hearing. She understands the importance of thorough preparation, which begins at the investigative stage and continues through the process pending a final board appearance.

Robyn routinely appears before the various boards including the South Carolina Board of Nursing and the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. Robyn understands the impact that a public reprimand, even an accusation of wrongdoing, can have upon a client’s livelihood. She fights to protect each client’s right to continue to practice.

Robyn exclusively defends businesses and employers in state and federal courts and before governmental agencies including the EEOC. She additionally reviews, and has challenged, non-compete agreements.

Robyn is active in the Columbia community and serves as a volunteer with Village Church. She formerly served as a Board Member for the American Red Cross South Carolina Blood Services Division, as a coach for Girls on the Run, and as a Jeep Rogers YMCA Branch Advisory Board Member.

Robyn is a Columbia native and earned both her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of South Carolina.
