Prior to joining the firm, Ben served as Staff Counsel at the South Carolina Administrative Law Court where he was involved in the whole gamut of challenges to actions or proposed actions of certain agencies of the State of South Carolina. Through his membership to that quasi-judicial body, he gained a unique perspective on how to approach legal matters from a court’s viewpoint in addition to refining his legal writing and research skills through authoring numerous published opinions.

Ben believes the bedrock of any successful practice requires active listening, critical thinking, open communication, and adaptability. Utilizing these skills enables him to tackle his clients’ distinct needs with pragmatic solutions. He appreciates how much he can learn from each client and how these interactions continue to shape and mold his practice. In that regard, Ben recognizes that producing efficient results begins and ends with understanding the particulars of his clients’ businesses and interests. He is motivated by the faith his clients place in him and strives to earn their trust by providing comprehensive representation that is team driven.

Outside of the office, Ben enjoys spending time with his family, dabbling in the stock market, and weightlifting.
