Shea Brighthop

Shea Brighthop

Of Counsel

Before joining Turner Padget, Shea started her legal career at the Richland County Public Defender's Office.

During her time at the Public Defender's Office, Cheslyne learned true advocacy for her clients and gained valuable courtroom experience which allows her to fight tirelessly for those she represents.

Prior to her career in public service, she served as a judicial law clerk to The Honorable William P. Keesley of the Eleventh Judicial Circuit. Her experience as a judicial law clerk allows her the ability to see things from both sides in determining the best result.

Shea has passion for her clients. Her practice is focused on defending clients in automobile accident, premise liability, and nursing home negligence matters. The belief that everyone deserves effective and top-tier representation is what motivates Shea to ensure a successful result for her client.

Shea is extremely dedicated in her service to the South Carolina Bar and being a server of the community. She is Co-Chair of the Richland County Bar Association’s Diversity Committee and co-chairs the firm’s internal Diversity and Inclusion Committee. Shea has true passion for diversity and believes diversity can only be attained through uncomfortable conversation and consistent self-reflection.

Shea is very family-oriented and spends a lot of time with them and her energetic dog, Cardi.
