Cynthia Dooley provides legal assistance to Employers and the insurance industry on matters of Workers’ Compensation in South Carolina.

Having spent over 13 years as a Senior Claims Adjuster for Aetna Casualty & Surety Company, Cindy brings a unique prospective to her clients as they navigate through the Laws of Worker’s Compensation.

Cindy served as the Workers’ Compensation Practice Group Leader and served on the SC WC Mediation Committee and as a result her practice has evolved to include Mediations throughout SC.

Due to Cindy’s years as an insurance adjuster, she is able to provide legal advice that often results in a cost effective and fair settlement for the insurance carrier, employer and the injured worker. Cindy is often asked to handle or mediate very complex cases which cross over into other areas of the law such as employment law and liability issues.

Cindy has represented small business owners as well as regional and national employers and carriers. As a lifelong resident of Lexington, S.C., Cindy has earned respect and trust from the South Carolina WC Commissioners and members of the South Carolina Bar. This respect and trust often translates into a substantial savings of time and money and less litigation for all involved.

Whether acting as mediator or litigator, Cindy’s goal is always fair, equitable, and timely settlement for all concerned. As a mother, grandmother, former adjuster and attorney, Cindy possesses the unique ability to quickly and effectively analyze the most difficult claims.

This ability is of great benefit whether she is serving as a mediator or litigator.
