David Hill Keller is a long-time practitioner of Workers’ Compensation defense in Greenville, South Carolina having represented numerous employers, carries, third party administrators and self-insureds for over 30 years.

While Keller has handled every type of Workers’ Compensation case, he has a special interest in Professional Employment Organizations (PEO’s), transportation issues and issues relating to self-insurance. He is also a Board Certified mediator specializing in Workers’ Compensation claims. Before entering private practice Keller was a Staff Attorney for the South Carolina Supreme Court and Staff Counsel to the South Carolina State Accident Fund and Uninsured Employers Fund.

His notable clients have included trucking/transportation companies, air carriers, PEO’s and the State of South Carolina. Keller was lead counsel for the State of South Carolinas a in nine cases involving coverage for PEO’s from a bankrupt insurance company. He has also been designated as appellate counsel for the SC State Accident Fund. He also has numerous reported cases in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeals, most notably several jurisdictional cases, and has been used as an expert witness in Federal Court on cases dealing with the jurisdiction of the South Carolina Workers’ Compensation Commission. .

Keller was formerly a Partner at Haynsworh Sinkler Boyd in Greenville where he headed the personnel committee and in 2008 was recruited to start the South Carolina Workers Compensation group for Constangy Brooks and Prophete. Because of his long time association with Turner Padget, he was asked to become Of Counsel and establish a workers’ compensation presence for the firm in Greenville in 2016.
