Emily Jordan focuses her practice on business law, estate planning and probate. Her clients include large corporations, small businesses, startups and individuals.
Emily advises clients involved in business and commercial litigation and commercial collections. Her experience includes corporate formation where she counsels startups on the various legal hurdles involved in successfully opening and operating a South Carolina business.
Additionally, she assists clients in matters involving estate planning and probate administration; probate litigation; trust administration; and guardianship and conservatorship issues.
Working in conjunction with other professional advisors, Emily develops estate plans tailored specifically to clients’ needs taking into consideration a variety of factors including: family dynamics, the nature of assets, tax ramifications and generation skipping issues. Emily works with families, Trustees, Personal Representatives and beneficiaries to help them navigate the complicated and often difficult issues involved with probate and trust administration following a loved one’s death.
