Elizabeth Wiles

Liz Wiles represents employers and insurance carriers in the defense of workers’ compensation claims in South Carolina and Georgia. She also handles claims under the federal Longshore and Harbor Workers’ Compensation Act.

Prior to joining Turner Padget, Liz practiced workers’ compensation defense at a boutique firm for 4 years, where she represented a variety of employers and insurance carriers. Immediately after law school, she served as a judicial law clerk for the Hon. Kristi L. Harrington, an invaluable experience which honed her legal writing and research skills.

Liz understands that every client has unique needs when it comes to workers’ compensation matters. She prides herself on learning the nature of the employer’s business to better formulate defensive strategies to investigate and defend claims. She knows the importance of communicating with both the employer and carrier in all stages of the claim. Liz works to achieve positive outcomes for her clients by listening to their goals, identifying the necessary action to achieve them, and providing recommendations based on her experience and knowledge of the law.

Liz relocated from Kentucky to Charleston, SC in 2012. She enjoys trying new restaurants, boating with her husband, and travelling to national parks.
