Hood Dawson practices in the personal injury Insurance Defense practice group.
After graduating from law school, Hood clerked for a circuit court judge in Greenville, South Carolina. During this clerkship, he worked closely with the judge during criminal and civil matters, as well as the South Carolina Business Court. Following his clerkship, Hood worked as a Public Defender in Greenville and Lexington, South Carolina. There, he represented indigent defendants in all forms of criminal matters and tried several cases, both as first chair and second chair. He then moved to a private firm in West Columbia, South Carolina, where he practiced in civil litigation, employment law, and criminal defense.
Through his representation of both plaintiffs and defendants, Hood has conducted many depositions, mediations, and motion hearings. This experience allows him to properly advise his clients throughout the litigation process.
Hood believes being open and transparent with his clients provides the clients with the most comprehensive representation. He and his team work together to find the best resolution for the client. Recognizing that not all clients are the same, he strives to assess the particular needs of the client in order to reach the best outcome.
