Having been on all three sides of the litigation equation, Kelli brings a wealth of experience to her clients in the areas of insurance coverage, medical malpractice/licensing and nursing home defense.

Kelli started her career pursuing cases on behalf of Plaintiffs in the areas of nursing home negligence and medical malpractice. After several years, she became in house counsel at Nationwide Insurance, evaluating insurance claims and coverage in the areas of general liability, commercial claims, homeowner’s claims, and automobile accident cases. Kelli later began representing doctors, health care facilities, nurses and other health care entities in negligence claims and before various regulatory boards. Kelli also became a certified civil mediator, and has successfully mediated personal injury, malpractice, and business dispute matters. Her ability to see cases from all three perspectives is invaluable to her clients.

Kelli believes that the key to any good defense is in a thorough and detailed analysis of the medical records and in preparing her clients for the litigation or regulatory hearing process. Kelli often advises health care providers on issues relating to their consent forms, office practices, and other risk avoidance strategies, as well as defends providers in lawsuits and regulatory board matters.

Kelli has an extensive background in many different types of medical malpractice cases, including psychiatric malpractice, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, hospitalist liability, emergency medicine, dentistry and cosmetic surgery.
