Kyle H. Cooper is an associate in Turner Padget’s nationally ranked Litigation practice, where he represents clients in construction, product liability, hospitality, premises liability, and personal injury defense matters. Based in the firm’s Columbia office, Kyle focuses on helping businesses and professionals navigate litigation while protecting their reputations and minimizing risk.
Kyle has defended general contractors, subcontractors, architects, real estate agents, and property owners in claims involving construction defects in both single-family and multi-unit developments, as well as in matters affecting professional licenses. He also has experience representing clients in complex bodily injury and property damage cases stemming from commercial motor vehicle accidents, defective products – including heavy equipment, fireworks, firearms, and automotive components – as well as hospitality- and alcohol-related incidents and premises liability disputes.
In every matter, Kyle prioritizes open communication and practical problem-solving, ensuring his clients remain informed and supported throughout the litigation process. His approach emphasizes safeguarding client brands while working toward efficient, favorable resolutions.
A native Virginian, Kyle grew up outside Washington, D.C. He graduated magna cum laude from James Madison University, where he studied psychology and was a member of the Honors College and Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law in 2024, where his scholarly work included publishing Cooper, Electronics, Automobiles, and Corporate Law: Can Aspects of Korea’s Chaebols be Successfully Exported to the United States? in the South Carolina Journal of International Law & Business.
