Turner Padget is pleased to announce that Jacqueline Thomas, of counsel in the firm’s Augusta office, has been named to the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce and Augusta Magazine’s 2023 Top 10 in 10 Young Professionals to Watch list. This year’s recipients of this annual award are leading the way, raising the bar and setting the standard of service throughout the Augusta community. The full list of recipients can be found here.

Thomas will be honored alongside other recipients at the Augusta Metro Chamber’s Member Economic Luncheon on Thursday, June 29 at the Augusta Marriott. Celebrating 15 years, this award was developed in 2009 by the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce in partnership with Augusta Magazine to annually highlight ten young professionals (age 25-35) in the Greater Augusta Region. In distinguishing these individuals, the Chamber aims to expand recognition for Augusta’s young professional talent throughout Georgia.

Thomas specializes in handling domestic relations matters, specifically, adoptions (step-parent, grandparent, relative, third party, adult, DFCS, etc.), divorces (contested and uncontested), child custody disputes/modification actions, legitimations, name changes (adult and minor), contempt actions, family violence protective orders, stalking protective orders and child support matters. She manages cases in both the Superior Court and Juvenile Court of Georgia. Thomas also assists with the Augusta University Healthy Grandparents Program, which helps grandparents adopt or gain custody of their grandchildren.

Thomas earned her undergraduate degree from Furman University and her law degree from University of Georgia School of Law.
