Of Counsel
  • 803-227-4228

Charlie practices out of Turner Padget’s Columbia office with a focus on insurance defense litigation.

Through his defense of insurance carriers and individuals, Charlie is involved in all aspects of litigation, including case investigation, written discovery, depositions, motion practice, and attending trials.

Prior to joining Turner Padget, Charlie’s civil litigation experience included representing mortgage lenders and loan servicers in South Carolina in residential real estate foreclosures, handling construction defect and products liability insurance defense claims, and commercial collections cases.

He also has served as an Assistant Disciplinary Counsel with the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. In this role, Charlie was responsible for prosecuting licensees for violations of state practice acts and handling appeals and petitions for injunctive relief filed with the Administrative Law Court.

Charlie works to provide clients with efficient and effective representation, as well as excellent service. He believes each case should begin with a thorough analysis of the legal issues involved and a discussion with the client to understand the client’s objectives and options in the case.
