Shuler named Distinguished Lawyer of 2014

The S.C. Bar Employment and Labor Law Section Council announces that Franklin “Frank” G. Shuler Jr. has been named the Distinguished Lawyer of 2014. Mr. Shuler will be recognized at the Section’s mid-year meeting on Friday, May 16, at the S.C. Bar Conference Center in Columbia.  Mr. Shuler was nominated and selected by his professional peers for commendable service to employment and labor law practices in South Carolina.

Mr. Shuler has practiced in virtually all aspects of labor and employment law during his 30 years of practice.  He also serves as a certified mediator, having mediated over 350 employment disputes.  He currently serves as Chair of the South Carolina Bar Employment and Labor Specialization Advisory Board.  

Mr. Shuler graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology and received his J.D. from Samford University.  Recent honors include being named to: Chambers USA:  America’s Leading Lawyers; South Carolina Super Lawyers; and Best Lawyers in America in the areas of Employment Law, Employee Benefits, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
