Turner Padget Announces the Addition of Four New Attorneys

Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. announces its continued expansion with four new associates. Paul E. Lawson is based in Myrtle Beach and joins the firm’s Insurance Litigation Group; Frank Stern is based in Greenville and joins the firm’s Insurance Litigation Group; and Bettis Rainsford, Jr. and Hannah D. Stetson are based in Columbia and join the firm’s Product Liability and Employment Practice Groups, respectively. These attorneys bring the number of new hires since January to 13 lawyers, supporting the firm’s strategic commitment to building its five South Carolina offices.

Paul E. Lawson

Lawson serves clients involved in complex construction defect litigation, automobile personal injury and premises liability matters. Prior to joining the firm, Lawson held a clerkship with the Hon. William H. Seals Jr. of the South Carolina Circuit Court.

Lawson received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Frank Stern

Stern focuses his practice on construction litigation, personal injury defense and premises liability matters. Prior to joining the firm, Stern held a clerkship with the Hon. Judge Robin B. Stilwell of the Greenville County Circuit Court. Additionally, he is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association and the South Carolina Young Lawyers Division.

Stern received his undergraduate degree from Clemson University and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Bettis Rainsford

Rainsford is a former Turner Padget law clerk who returns to the firm after completing a judicial clerkship with the Hon. Joseph F. Anderson of the South Carolina District Court.

Rainsford earned his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.

Hannah Stetson

Stetson will be concentrating her practice as a member of the firm’s labor and employment team. She will assist in business litigation and has served clients in a variety of insurance coverage and insurance defense matters. Stetson has completed federal clerkships at the U.S. District Court for the District of North Carolina and with Hon. Margaret B. Seymour, Judge for the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina.

Stetson earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina Honors College and her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.
