Turner Padget Announces the Addition of Three New Attorneys

Turner Padget Graham & Laney, P.A. is pleased to announce the addition of three new associates. Evelyn A. Norton is based in Greenville and joins the firm’s Workers’ Compensation team; Julie A. Oliver is based in Myrtle Beach and joins the firm’s Business Transactions team; and Nicholas J. Skorzewski is based in Columbia and joins the firm’s Workers’ Compensation team.

“Evelyn, Julie and Nicholas are all experienced and talented attorneys, and we are pleased to add them to our growing team,” said R. Wayne Byrd, chief executive officer of Turner Padget. “These additions strengthen our ability to respond promptly and strategically to our clients’ legal needs.”  

Evelyn A. Norton

Norton joins the firm after gaining ample experience practicing Workers’ Compensation defense in South Carolina’s Lowcountry. Prior to private practice, Norton served as a judicial intern to the Honorable Thomas C. Wheeler at the United States Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C.   

Norton received her undergraduate degree from Washington and Lee University and her law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law.

Julie A. Oliver

Oliver’s practice is focused on tax law, business law, and estate and probate administration. Prior to joining the firm, Oliver worked at an accounting firm in Myrtle Beach which allowed her to strengthen her focus in many areas of tax law.

Oliver received her undergraduate degree from Elon University, her law degree from Charleston School of Law, and her L.L.M in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center.

Nicholas J. Skorzewski

Skorzewski joins the firm after working for a creditor rights’ firm where he represented various clients in bankruptcy and foreclosure matters. His legal experience and analytical skills will help him effectively represent clients in Workers’ Compensation claims.

Skorzewski received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
