Turner Padget announces that Columbia-based shareholder Lanneau Wm. “Lanny” Lambert, Jr. was accepted into the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. College inductees are nominated by the organization’s fellows, and include a collegial group of lawyers from each state who are highly experienced in finance transactions secured by real estate and related areas. As a member of the College, Lambert will support the organization’s mission to improve and reform laws and procedures affecting real estate secured transactions.

At Turner Padget, Lambert is a member of the Real Estate and Lending Transaction practice. He focuses on commercial real estate finance and development, and counsels clients in a variety of business transactions, including contracts, leases and loans. He also represents both lenders and borrowers on matters ranging from financing and loans to land development and zoning.

The ACMA was formed in 1974 and represents more than 400 lawyers in North America who are considered leaders in the mortgage law industry. The College brings together qualified members of the profession who, by reason of their character and ability, will contribute to the accomplishments, achievements and good fellowship of the organization. Fellows have distinguished themselves as practitioners in the field of real estate mortgages through their bar association activities, lecturing, authoring articles and program materials, participation in the legislative process, and writing briefs and/or arguing cases that are significant to mortgage transactions.
