Turner Padget Grows Wealth & Estate Planning Practice in Columbia

Turner Padget is pleased to announce the addition of Madison Bailey Barnhill, associate, to the Wealth & Estate Planning practice group in Columbia. Barnhill will support the Estate & Business Planning team with several complex legal disciplines including wills and trusts, estate and gift taxes, real estate transfers, charitable giving and elder law. She will also devise legal and business strategies that minimize organizational disruptions.

Prior to joining Turner Padget, Barnhill served as an associate at McCutchen McLean, where she focused on estate planning, probate administration and business law matters. She also worked for the South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce, handling unemployment insurance benefits appeals.

While in law school, Barnhill served as a graduate research assistance conducting studies on data privacy and cyber violations to analyze the legal analytics behind search terms. She was a peer-editor for the Journal of Legal Medicine and received a CALI Award in legal research and writing. During her last year in law school, Barnhill was a legal clerk at Finkel Law Firm. She is an avid volunteer in her community and a member of the Rotary Club and of The Basilica of St. Peters.

Barnhill earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and her law degree from Georgia State University College of Law.
