Turner Padget's Cathy Kennedy Extends South Carolina Bar Leadership with New Term on Board of Governors

Columbia, S.C., July 30, 2025 – Turner Padget is pleased to announce that Columbia-based attorney Catherine (Cathy) H. Kennedy will serve another one-year term on the South Carolina Bar’s Board of Governors, effective July 1, 2025. In this role, she will continue to lead the Bar along with the other members of the Board of Governors.

Cathy is well-known for her trailblazing work in probate and trust law. Throughout her distinguished career, Cathy has been a constant advocate for meaningful reform in South Carolina’s legal system. Her efforts have helped streamline judicial processes, reduce family conflict, and enhance access to justice for South Carolinians. She also served as Richland County Probate Judge from 1987 to 1999.
