In an article published on July 22, 2021, in The Mid-Market Report, CEO and Shareholder Pierce Campbell is profiled in the “Getting to Know You” Q&A series highlighting law firm leaders.

“2020 was a year no one expected, and most companies are still recovering,” explains Campbell. “As we enter the latest phase of our “post-pandemic” normal, two of our main opportunities are to streamline expenses after the pandemic and to use our new remote work model to attract and recruit new attorneys.”

When asked how the firm stays competitive, Campbell shared that the firm’s footprint gives us geographic advantages and our smaller overhead allows us to keep costs down for our clients. “The firm’s South Carolina roots have grown in the past few years with expansion into Georgia and strategic alliances in Florida and North Carolina, reflective of how the state’s business of law is evolving,” said Campbell.

Campbell further explains how creating Client Service & Development leaders in 2021 is among one of the most innovative things the firm has done recently. “[Their] sole focus is to lead our efforts to attract and retain clients,” said Campbell. “These leaders manage the attorney’s client service and challenge them to continue to meet our primary core value of being client-focused. Without the additional responsibility of training, financial matters and recruiting, these leaders are able to handle client concerns immediately when they occur with the support and full attention of firm management.
